Andrew Dehoff Named New Susquehanna River Basin Executive Director

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission Wednesday announced the appointment of Andrew D. Dehoff as its new executive director.   He succeeds Paul O. Swartz, who served as SRBC’s executive director since 1992.
Dehoff was selected from 51 applicants for the position to serve as the third executive director in the agency’s 42-year history. His appointment becomes effective on September 19, 2013.
“Mr. Dehoff is a well-qualified individual who has considerable experience with the Commission’s programs and operations,” said Commission Chairman Col. Trey Jordan, who represents the federal government on the Commission. “With this foundation, he has both the experience and skill set to move the Commission forward in the face of new challenges in the coming years.”
Having held progressively responsible positions with SRBC, Dehoff began his employment there as a water resources engineer in 1995. Most recently, he served as SRBC’s Project Review Manager, a position in which he was responsible for the technical review of applications for all water use projects requiring SRBC’s approval. In that capacity, Dehoff oversaw the development of online applications and implemented guidance documents to improve the efficiency of the review of applications.
”He is a solid performer, well versed with the Commission’s regulatory requirements and first-hand involvement in developing the Commission’s regulations and policies,” said Jordan. “My fellow commissioners from Pennsylvania, New York State, and Maryland agree that his background and experience are an excellent match for the Commission.”
Dehoff, a resident of Harrisburg, Pa., holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Virginia and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
