Delaware Highlands Conservancy Announces Free Community Picnic Aug. 29

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is pleased to announce a free community event, August 29 from 12 p.m. -4 p.m. at its Bethel, New York office.
The Conservancy's annual Thank-You Picnic celebrates its local community of supporters and friends and provides an opportunity for the public to enjoy the beautiful rolling hills, meadows, gardens, and woods of their office.
Enjoy a light lunch made with local foods, live music from the Greater Rio Bluegrass Quartet, a guided walk on our woodland trail, monarch butterflies with Ed Wesely and live animals with the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and outdoor games, crafts, and fun for all ages.
The first 100 people to arrive will receive a free reusable water bottle.
For landowners, get your questions answered about stewarding or conserving your lands with our Land Protection Coordinator, Jennifer Sherwood.
The Conservancy's Community Picnic was supported in part with funding from a capacity grant from the New York State Conservation Partnership Program and New York's Environmental Protection Fund. The NYSCPP is administered by the Land Trust Alliance, in coordination with the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
This event is free for our members and volunteers, but prior registration is requested. If you are not a member, you have the option to join anytime on the Delaware Highlands Conservancy website.
Please call the Delaware Highlands Conservancy at 570-226-3164 or 845-583-1010, or send email to: info@delawarehighlands.org to register and receive directions.
