Premiere: Ned Smith Gone For The Day WITF Documentary Aug. 11 At Ned Smith Center For Nature & Art, Dauphin County

Join WITF and the PA Conservation Heritage Project for the premiere screening the the Ned Smith Gone For The Day documentary at the Ned Smith Center For Nature and Art in Millersburg, Dauphin County.
One of the many conservation heroes who helped shape Pennsylvania's environmental heritage was self-trained artist, writer and naturalist Ned Smith.
Over the span of 45 years, Smith made an important connection between art and conservation as he created thousands of astonishingly detailed drawings and paintings of wildlife.
WITF in partnership with the Pennsylvania Conservation Heritage Project continues to produce documentaries as part of an on-going effort to tell the story of the state's rich conservation heritage and the people who helped protect our resources.
Other documentaries in the series review the contributions of Ralph Abele, Mira Lloyd Dock, Maurice Goddard, Gifford Pinchot and looks at the history of Pennsylvania’s State Park System.  Click Here to watch these videos online.
The screening will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Ned Smith Center For Nature and Art with a panel discussion following the film covering Smith’s impact on Pennsylvania’s conservation heritage.
