Senate Environmental Committee Correction: It Will Meet To Consider Bill To Tax Municipalities Statewide For Chesapeake Bay Cleanup Oct. 17

The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee Friday corrected its notice to say the Committee will consider legislation to tax municipalities statewide $500 million over 10 years to install nitrogen reduction measures in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, about one-third of the state on October 17. On the agenda are--
-- Senate Resolution 168 (Langerholc-R-Cambria) directing the Joint State Government Commission to establish an advisory committee to review the vehicle emissions inspection program in Cambria County.
The meeting will be held in Room 8E-B East Wing of the Capitol starting at 9:30.  Committee meetings are frequently webcast through the Senate Republican Caucus website.
